Gold Bullion / Gold Coins

Precious metals in bulk form are known as bullion, and are traded on commodity markets. Bullion metals may be cast into ingots, or minted into coins.

For centuries, buying gold has been recognized as one of the best ways to preserve one's wealth and purchasing power. Gold is a unique investment, an ultimate asset that has served mankind well for thousands of years. From the times of ancient to more modern times, man has been fascinated with the beauty and magic of gold, and with its power to change men's lives. I'm not surprise if many women out there may even prefer to buy gold bullion than buying the conventional "diamond".

Those of you who do not own & have not seen a gold bullion before, you could look up reliable websites to explore how you could buy bullion through reputable aurum advisors.

Medical Interviews

During the weekends, we watched a Hindustan movie called "3 Idiots". If you have watched it, you surely would agree that it's very hilarious.

There were a few scenes which I enjoyed a lot. They are as follow:

1) The smart engineer student teaching the professor how to teach. Perhaps this is what some medical colleges are trying to train their students to do- Teach The Teacher !!

2) One of the 3 idiots attending a job interview. (I'm sure if he has the training in Consultant Interview or consultant interview course like those offered by Oxford Medical, he definitely will have better self confidence.

3)The lead female actress was indeed a great medical student- being able to conduct a delivery of a baby via webcam during power failure. If she goes into teaching medical management courses , I'm sure she would be a great asset to her students.

Those of you who haven't seen this show "3 Idiots" , go grab the VCD now. Even the movie songs were played in the local TESCO hypermarket.

You sure will love it!

Address Plaques & Numbers

Last week, our twins wanted to visit their classmate who stays somewhere in town near a famous Hotel in the city. As we normally allow them to chillax a bit on weekends after all the hard studies (in Chinese school)throughout the week with abundance of homework, we agreed to their request.

When my hub arrived at their friend CP's house, we were amazed to see his huge bungalow situated in an enclosed residential area right in the city centre. CP's house has an address plaque which is hand crafted from rust-free recycled aluminum and is

From my observation, people who live in BIG mansion or bungalows usually will have very classy address plaques and numbers to match the status of their home. Wonder how it would look like if we use one of those home address plaques for our little small house!!

Lockers

School holidays & Christmas holidays are the time we enjoy most , taking our kids for holidays.

My kids love swimming, so most of the time we will end up at places with theme park or swimming pools, while hub and myself can also have some time in the gym if available.
The first thing I would look out for is whether there are any Lockers available.Since there are so many of us, we would need at least a locker each for my girls and boys. The clubhouse we normally frequent on vacations has very nice gym lockers as well as wood lockers for shoes.

I noticed that our local schools whether primary or secondary in Malaysia seldom have school lockers for their students. If only they have, students can have less books to carry based on their lessons timetable.

Perhaps, year end is the best time to look for lockers for sale to grab great bargains.

School Holiday Online Games for my Kids

School holidays were here for almost more a month now.

My kids still had to go to daycare because their parents got to work. Besides having a 9-5 job, I also have been blogging for money and receiving compensation for writing posts, too.

In that blogging process, I stumbled upon 2 online games - boxhead 2 and age of war. I told my kids about them and they got so excited. Since it's school holidays , I allow them to go online and play a few games during weekends and after their tuition classes.

Mailboxes

Lately due to the rainy season, I noticed that our mails in the mailbox have been getting wet due to the splash from the heavy rain.

I guess it's time for us to look for more reliable mailboxes which are more hardy & durable as well as more "waterproof". Then came some information which I searched and found about ecco mailboxes. One particular simple yet nice looking ecco wall mounted mailbox which I like from the whole range of slick & elegant mailboxes here is this one from the ecco e4 mailbox range:

Besides this ecco mailbox, there are many more beautiful designs to choose from to suit your preference and your home design.

If you prefer the Victorian style, take a look at this ecco e6 mailbox designs.
For those metallic lovers, you may choose from the ecco e7 mailbox range.
There are also the tower designs of mailboxes which are suitable for bungalows or commercial sites which you can view under the category of ecco e8 mailbox.

So which design would you prefer?

Sports betting is now legal in Malaysia

I read this article that said "Sports betting is now legal in Malaysia:

"Thursday, 13 May 2010 16:17

KUALA LUMPUR – The government has legalised sports betting, which, supporters say, will curb illegal gambling and boost government coffers.

Vincent-tan-2Ascot Sports, a company controlled by influential tycoon Vincent Tan (left) has been granted a licence that will allow it to offer odds in time for the hugely popular English Premier League season, according to an AFP report.

"Ascot Sports has been re-issued the sports betting licence by the Ministry of Finance which was first issued in 1987," gaming group Berjaya -- of which Tan is a major shareholder -- said in a statement late yesterday.

Berjaya, a conglomerate with holdings ranging from lottery to casino operations, will acquire a 70% stake in Ascot Sports by paying Tan RM525mil.

The 1987 permit was quickly rescinded and an attempt to revive it several years ago failed because of opposition to gambling, which is forbidden in Islam.

Berjaya said that legalising sports betting will curb illegal bookmaking and bring huge revenues to the government.

Since the government has legalised sports betting, he proposed that part of the revenue collected from the industry should also go towards public education and raising awareness about the dangers of gambling and the social ills that could result. —Malaysian Mirror "

So what about sports betting in bigger countries like the United States? I guess everyone would agree that among all sports, football betting would be the top choice among all sports bettors.

Garden Planters

I love gardening but i do not have much time to do weeding & maintenance. Therefore, I personally prefer to use individual garden planter for easy weeding & managing the soil.

Those of you staying in condominiums or apartments with no garden plot to do your gardening, may want to try looking for these variety of planters as another option for creating your own garden.

I've seen many tall apartments/condominiums residents fixing outdoor clothes drying racks right in front of their balcony facing the main roads. This can be an ugly sight, especially in the bigger city areas. Perhaps these condominium owners should try using these decorative planters

or window box planters

to hide the ugly sight of the clothes hanging on the rack and also to beautify that location.
"Balcony gardens are common where people live in apartments or condominiums because colorful, vibrant, charming balcony gardens bring life to city landscapes all summer long. This provides some very tangible benefits to apartment dwellers."

ArE yOu mOist enOugh?

1 Malaysia Greetings to All!

How many of you out there (whether you are female or male) wish to have smooth, silky and adequately moist skin like baby's skin? If you are raising your hand to indicate yourself, you are at the right post and at the right time.

Since the day you started on skincare products, you might have heard your beauticians or dermatologists emphasizing the need to always moisturise your skin especially areas such as the neck and hands. You may have the face of an angel but a woman’s age is written all over her hands and neck. I heard of this when I was in my teenage years, from my "Grooming" teacher during one of the extra curriculum activities. Similarly, one can have beautiful nail art done on her nails but if the skin is not moist enough, wrinkles on the hands will spoil the overall look of the hands. For instance the picture below:

To most Malaysians living in this particular hot & humid climate, we are usually expose to Mr. Sun and there's no doubt that most people would admit that their skin is indeed NOT MOIST ENOUGH.

Don't despair

Recognising the need for daily skin hydration and replenishment, Vaseline unveiled its Amazing Skin care range with products designed to meet specific skin care needs:

Total Moisture which ensures 10X more moisturisation and protection, especially for dry skin. Equipped with vitamins E, soy and oats, it infuses sufficient moisture across all layers of skin, leaving adult skin feeling supple and healthy. Ideal for application during the day especially for those spending time in an air-conditioned room all day long.

Intensive Rescue contains Glycerin, which triples moisture and Occlusive, which helps to lock moisture in all day. This advanced formula specifically designed to prescribe strength moisturising to help heal dry skin. This range suits my family and myself ,to be used during bedtime and to counter the dryness from overnight air-conditioning:

I would also use it for my crack heels:

and also on my twin's eczema dry areas especially after their swim.

Aloe Cool and Fresh enriched with aloe vera and cucumber extracts to deliver refreshing hydration. Its light formula ensures skin is smooth and silky while staying nourished. It’s so fresh and I love the aromatic scent which is soooo irresistible. This is ideal for an active day out during travelling or when on vacation.

Healthy White contains yogurt serum and vitamin B3 with triple sunscreen protection to hydrate skin and bring out the healthy fairness & radiance of the skin. This range would be ideal for my freckled skin especially when I’m out in the sun alone or with my family.

The wide range of Amazing Skin from Vaseline offers consumers like me an option to look youthful below my chronological age (age shown in my I.C)!!

The consolation would be when I hear friends and relatives commenting that I don't look like a mother of 4 (in fact some thought I'm single/ no children yet!).

Online Maths Tutoring

Maths is one of the subjects I used to fear & dislike in school.

Perhaps things would have been different if I had found this online tutoring way back during my school and college days.

At least kids these days have the options of online tutoring such as TutorVista's online tutoring which can help them ace topics in the following Maths Subject:

1) Pre Algebra,
2) Algebra equations,
3) "How to divide"
4)Standard Form (Standard form is a way of writing down very large or very small numbers easily.)

5) Slope Formula (The slope can be defined as the tangent of the angle the line makes with the x-axis or the derivative of a function, )
6)Math Word Problems

At the end of the tutorial students are given Maths Practice Test to help them study more in less time and also to check the math knowledge they have gained. The test will test their mathematical skills and can be written in many ways based on the topics; few topics only need general calculations and few need complex calculations. After completing the test, it gives out the result based on the student's performance.

Would you consider signing up your kids for such online tutoring if you are a busy mom who does not have time and not so skillful in Maths like me?

Address Plaques, Numbers & Signs

During recent public holiday of Nuzul Quaran, hubby decided to spend some time taking us round to see nearby showhouses and some new residential area with newly built bungalows & houses.

Some of these big bungalows and houses have address plaques which are rather unique and nice. Some of the address plaques and numbers were pretty cool and stylish.

After seing those address signs, address plaques and numbers, I was inspired to get something unique for my own home.

After searching through the internet, I found out that these address plaques generally come in three sizes: petite, standard and estate. Petite size address signs are smaller and are a perfect fit for smaller areas and doors like my home.

Standard size address signs are larger and may display extra lines of text.

Estate size address signs are the largest and work well for larger sized homes or yards where a large-scale sign will better accent the home.

This search also gave me a new idea of what to get for a friend's housewarming or rather "bungalow warming" next month. Perhaps I will get more ideas of these sorts here.
