Though I didn't make it to the top3 and consolation prizes, this was a great experience for me and my hubby who drove me all the way there from Ipoh to KL when we win a pair of invites to the poolside party.

Received a call frm Super few days bck informing that v have won a prize and it's a congratulatory prize. Aunt BS also won the consolation prize..so happy for her! She is my recruited fan for contest/comping.

Nonetheless, the cheque wont be arriving so soon yet.

Jacker Kickoff Contest 2010

The results for the top 21 prizes was announced today.

V didnt win the Grand prize Proton Exora full spec but instead our entry won the 1st prize which is a Modernas CT100 Motorbike. The 2nd prize is a LCD TV. The rest of the prizes were yet to be drawn. Here are the prizes.

There were winners from all over Malaysia like Selangor, Perak, Johor , Negeri Sembilan, Pahang & Penang.

Though we had to drive about 4.5 hours to Malacca to collect the prize frm the sponsor Oriental Food Factory(situated in Malacca), it was all worth it.

Gatorade shell contest prize

Called the organiser few weeks back and they refuse to send my gift (an Adidas shoe bag ) via courier. So had to trouble a relative to collect it for me since I am from outstation and nt frm KL.

Cant blame them, now that the local postages have all doubled up. :(

The cash & hamper are finally here since the

were announced beginning of the year.

Indeed the timing is great since May is the lucky month but pocket straining month with sooo many celebrations like Mother's Day, Nurses Day. teachers Day, My bday & twins Bday!!

Hooray, this pic won me the monthly cash prize in the recent Mi Sedaap contest for month of December 09.

Judging at the stiff competition among all the great Maggi-cian contestants who were really good in their creative recipes, I must say I'm very lucky indeed to even made it to the top 30 winner list.

The agency has contacted the winners to submit their details. The $$ and hamper should be arriving in 2-3 weeks time. Really wished it could have been around chinese New Year but It's OK. Better late than nothing !

Another winning entry in Ajinomoto Contest

I praise God for this 2nd winning entry (this time under my name). If you have read my previous post, the 1st entry "Sambal Tumis Cuttlefish with Thai Mini Asparagus" was won under my hubbby's name.

‘Once A-Prawn a time in France Fried Rice’

Ingredients:
1 tbsp Cooking oil
2 tsp Sesame oil
1 small Onion, sliced thinly
1 clove Garlic, finely chopped
10 medium Fresh prawns, peeled
Some AJI-SHIO® Iodised Table Salt to taste
10 French beans, cut according to preferred size
3 cups Leftover steamed rice
1 packet SERI-AJI® Fried Rice Mix (Prawn)
3 Egg
Some AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Pepper to taste
Some Water

Method:
1. Massage some Aji-Shio iodised table salt over the peeled prawn.
2. Heat 1 tbsp of cooking oil in a wok. Quickly stir-fry prawns under high heat till they appear pink, put aside.
3. Fry a sun-side up egg (telur mata kerbau), sprinkle with AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Pepper on top & put aside.
4. Heat up a large wok with sesame oil. Sauté onion & garlic over medium heat until fragrant & golden.
5. Add in French beans. Stir-fry together. Add rice and stir-fry for a few minutes under high heat. Sprinkle 1 sachet of SERI-AJI® Fried Rice Mix (Prawn), stir well.
6. Drizzle some water over the fried rice and stir quickly till rice is light, non soggy or clumpy but well mixed! Turn off heat.
7. Arrange prawns & garnish with the fried egg on top, serve warm.

Notes of this recipe: This creatively named special fried rice is no fairy tale but simple & yummy for prawn lovers in my family- my 4 kids & my hubby!

My winning recipe in AJINOMOTO Creative Recipe Contest

Hubby received a phone call from Ajinomoto congratulating him for his entry (which I sent in his name) which has won cash & mystery gift.

Here's the winning recipe:

Sambal Tumis Cuttlefish & Mini Thai Asparagus
Ingredients:
3 tbsp Cooking oil
2 Shallot, thinly sliced
1 big Soaked cuttlefish, cleaned and cut into small pieces.
1 bunch/12 nos Mini Thai Asparagus, cut into 1 inch length
2 tbsp Ground chilli paste (cili giling)
3 tbsp Tomato paste
½ tbsp TUMIX® Ikan Bilis (Anchovy) Seasoning
2 tbsp Brown sugar
Some AJI-SHIO® Iodised Table Salt to taste
A pinch Shrimp paste (belacan) powder optional
1 Big red chilli, sliced for garnishing

(A): mix together & strain the tamarind juice
1 tbsp Tamarind juice
½ cup Warm water


Method:
1. Heat oil in a wok over medium high heat, sauté shallots till fragrant.
2. Add in ground chilli paste and tomato paste, stir well to combine.
3. Pour in tamarind juice (A) then bring to a boil. Add in TUMIX® Ikan Bilis (Anchovy) Seasoning, brown sugar & a pinch of belacan powder. Stir-well.
4. Then add in cuttlefish & Mini Thai asparagus. Stir to combine.
5. Cover & simmer for 1-2 minutes (If thicker sauce is preferred, add in a bit of corn flour mix with 2 tablespoon of water)
6. Uncover, stir and add some AJI-SHIO® Iodised Table Salt to taste. Garnish with red chilli and serve warm with rice.


This is best to eat as one of the condiments for nasi lemak, too.

Ajinomoto "Eat Well, Be Well" contest winner lists

Dear all compers especially those who took part in the "Eat Well, Be Well" contest, the results are out.

I didnt win the grand prize to Hokaido, but at least I won a consolation prize here.

My luck is not bad after all, to be luckily picked and drawn from a pool of 20,000 entries recieved by the organiser.

Hooray(self pat on my shoulders!!)..will be waiting for my favourite man: the courier man at my door or at least the card which says "I miss You..so u need to pick up your parcel frm our office".

Winning is so fun & rewarding ..though it's just consolation prize!

Thanks to KRAFT's "Name the signature Contest", I had the chance to take part & won a set of English design porcelain set (3 plates of different sizes, oven µwave proof) worth RM138. I'm also lucky that I could collect from the agent in Ipoh instead of going all the way to KL to collectt from the main dealer. The shop is situated at Sation 18 where the shoplots were quites new & not fully occupied yet. This shop called RC trading sells lots of nice household, furniture accesories stuff & they are very reasonably priced.










Though it's just a consolation prize...the feel of winning superceded the value of the prize!

Today, out of no particular reason I just feel like creating another blog to compile posts on contest and comping. A different taste from my main blog which jots down events about my family & my 4 lovely kids.

Since one of my hobbies are taking part in contest, I shall devote this blog for everything about me & my contests participation & winning.
