Mailboxes

Lately due to the rainy season, I noticed that our mails in the mailbox have been getting wet due to the splash from the heavy rain.

I guess it's time for us to look for more reliable mailboxes which are more hardy & durable as well as more "waterproof". Then came some information which I searched and found about ecco mailboxes. One particular simple yet nice looking ecco wall mounted mailbox which I like from the whole range of slick & elegant mailboxes here is this one from the ecco e4 mailbox range:

Besides this ecco mailbox, there are many more beautiful designs to choose from to suit your preference and your home design.

If you prefer the Victorian style, take a look at this ecco e6 mailbox designs.
For those metallic lovers, you may choose from the ecco e7 mailbox range.
There are also the tower designs of mailboxes which are suitable for bungalows or commercial sites which you can view under the category of ecco e8 mailbox.

So which design would you prefer?

Sports betting is now legal in Malaysia

I read this article that said "Sports betting is now legal in Malaysia:

"Thursday, 13 May 2010 16:17

KUALA LUMPUR – The government has legalised sports betting, which, supporters say, will curb illegal gambling and boost government coffers.

Vincent-tan-2Ascot Sports, a company controlled by influential tycoon Vincent Tan (left) has been granted a licence that will allow it to offer odds in time for the hugely popular English Premier League season, according to an AFP report.

"Ascot Sports has been re-issued the sports betting licence by the Ministry of Finance which was first issued in 1987," gaming group Berjaya -- of which Tan is a major shareholder -- said in a statement late yesterday.

Berjaya, a conglomerate with holdings ranging from lottery to casino operations, will acquire a 70% stake in Ascot Sports by paying Tan RM525mil.

The 1987 permit was quickly rescinded and an attempt to revive it several years ago failed because of opposition to gambling, which is forbidden in Islam.

Berjaya said that legalising sports betting will curb illegal bookmaking and bring huge revenues to the government.

Since the government has legalised sports betting, he proposed that part of the revenue collected from the industry should also go towards public education and raising awareness about the dangers of gambling and the social ills that could result. —Malaysian Mirror "

So what about sports betting in bigger countries like the United States? I guess everyone would agree that among all sports, football betting would be the top choice among all sports bettors.

Garden Planters

I love gardening but i do not have much time to do weeding & maintenance. Therefore, I personally prefer to use individual garden planter for easy weeding & managing the soil.

Those of you staying in condominiums or apartments with no garden plot to do your gardening, may want to try looking for these variety of planters as another option for creating your own garden.

I've seen many tall apartments/condominiums residents fixing outdoor clothes drying racks right in front of their balcony facing the main roads. This can be an ugly sight, especially in the bigger city areas. Perhaps these condominium owners should try using these decorative planters

or window box planters

to hide the ugly sight of the clothes hanging on the rack and also to beautify that location.
"Balcony gardens are common where people live in apartments or condominiums because colorful, vibrant, charming balcony gardens bring life to city landscapes all summer long. This provides some very tangible benefits to apartment dwellers."

Thks Super

Received a call frm Super few days bck informing that v have won a prize and it's a congratulatory prize. Aunt BS also won the consolation prize..so happy for her! She is my recruited fan for contest/comping.
